C.K. (Kamal) S. Dullat

Kamal has been a pharmacist since 1995 in several different roles, including: industrial pharmacist in India, community pharmacist in three different Canadian provinces (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta), and Canadian military pharmacist. He has instructed and mentored leadership candidates, foreign trained pharmacists, pharmacy interns, undergraduate students, and has also completed graduate studies in pharmacology and pharmaco-epidemiology in two countries. He currently practices as the owner/pharmacist of a Shoppers Drug Mart in Calgary, with certifications in diabetes education, administration of injections, compounding, and compression stockings to improve quality of life of his patients. He is also a Pharmacy Officer (Captain) with the Canadian Forces, where he takes pride in serving the country. Now, he is bringing all this education and experience to his work as an ACP councillor. 
"It is critical that we participate in and excel at the expanded scope of pharmacy practice, as there are numerous doors opened for our profession to achieve excellence in patient care as well use our professional expertise to its fullest potential,” says Kamal.
"As an elected councillor, my primary objective is to promote the enhanced and expanded scope of practice as well as help pharmacists and pharmacy technicians use their professional expertise to their true potential as we deliver safe and effective practice aligned with the health care needs of Albertans."
Kamal enthusiastically looks forward to an exciting future for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Alberta, and hopes that members of the profession will contact him with any questions.
