The Council of the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) contributes to, approves, and provides stewardship over documents such as regulations, standards, codes of ethics, and bylaws required in governing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and licensed pharmacies in Alberta.
The Health Professions Act prescribes the responsibilities and processes that our college must administer, which includes periods for registrants and stakeholders to review and comment on new or proposed amendments to each document.
This is pharmacists', pharmacy technicians', and stakeholders' means of contributing to the regulatory framework that governs pharmacy in Alberta and the rules within which the Council governs the college.
Opportunities to review and provide written feedback about new and proposed amendments to documents are offered online. In some instances, engagement may be specific to only select stakeholder groups.
Our college reviews and considers all feedback about documents that we have responsibility for, prior to making decisions.
