Employment Opportunity: Pharmacy Practice Consultant

Join our team!

We have teamed up with executive search firm, The Vogel Group, to recruit a new Pharmacy Practice Consultant. The creation of a sixth Pharmacy Practice Consultant (PPC) position speaks to the vital role ACP’s Professional Practice team plays in helping to ensure quality pharmacy practice throughout Alberta.

Reporting to the Professional Practice Director, the PPC is responsible for approximately 250 pharmacy practices, primarily in Edmonton & Northern Alberta. In addition to assessing pharmacy operations and systems, the PPC develops and implements educational programs and tools to promote quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.

By providing guidance and coaching to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and licensees, the PPC helps pharmacy teams adapt to changes, meet practice standards, and provide patient-centred care. Our PPCs are trusted partners both within the College and in the community, consistently receiving high ratings in post-assessment surveys.

"What I like the most about my job is the connection and relationships that I develop with pharmacy teams. I take a ‘we are all in this together’ approach which is very effective in terms of quality improvement. I have seen so much progress in the level of patient care provided in pharmacy since starting in this position in 2010. I feel that this is a direct result of both the pharmacy teams’ efforts and the support that I provide as practice consultant. My role is always evolving and there are always opportunities to participate in internal ACP initiatives." Jennifer Mosher, Pharmacy Practice Consultant.
